GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!

If you were in class yesterday you got to meet two adorable kittens. Miku and Oz were brought in for a sort of show and tell. if you have any pictures feel free to post them on the Facebook page or in the comments below. The pictures posted now were provided by Aaron, Maverick, and me. 






Other then the cute kittens nothing else extremely productive happened. Maverick and Matt hooked most computers up to the server. Also, Mrs.Devries got students to fill in a "STOP, START, and CONTINUE" sheet. In case you haven't completed that yet and still need to here's what you need to do: 

1.Write down the word STOP on a sheet of paper. Then, write down something you would like Mrs.D to stop doing.

2.Write down the word START on the same sheet of paper. Then, write down something you would like her to start doing. 

3. Finally, write the word CONTINUE and tell her what you would like her to continue doing.

Write this all on a sheet of paper and hand it directly to Mrs. Devries OR if you can't find her, hand the sheet into my new hand in box on my desk and i'll make sure it gets to her. Writing your name on the sheet is optional.

Earlier this week Conner and John have fixed the scaling bug on the home page and they have verified a color scheme. Anyone needing the color code should talk to them. They are also waiting on what is to be put in the sub-sections. This should be discussed in class in the corporate meeting on Friday. John also worked on the css layout and text wrapping. Scott re sized the metal bracket on the server frame and organized desktops. He is requesting that anyone who wants personal touches done to their about page send their requests to either him or Nick. 

Today we worked on cleaning out the second back room, and fixing the genuine errors in windows 7. IMPORTANT: If anyone has an annoying error on their computer saying that they need to activate windows and that you don't have a genuine copy of windows please see either Matt or me with a flash-drive! We will give you a program to help fix the error.

BLOG POST NUMERO UNO

What has been done so far?

♣Matt and Nick have been busy setting up 2 out of 3 servers. Server number #1 is up and running smoothly, while server #2 is just waiting to be reconfigured. Server 3 is not up yet and will be the next priority server wise. 

♣Andrew, Nick, Jason, Dimitri, and Scott have all either finished or started their personal webpages. Just tell Scott (either verbally or written on paper) what you want on your personal page and he will work on it.

♣We are currently waiting for the CSS loader. Connor and John have been working on this. They currently have the code ready, they are just trying to gather all he pages to get it all organized.

♣Dreamweaver has been installed on the two client computers

♣Aaron and Maverick have teamed up to unplug and re-wire all the computers cables to make the room more organized and efficient. Computers have been labeled and placed under desks to save room and chords have been wrapped together so they are not tangled and so that they stay with their designated desktop.

What is being done now?

♣Nick and Matt are working on wiring all computers to the routers.

♣Anyone can still submit personal webpages to scott, and everyone can work on their wiki pages

♣We have the option of submitting our job descriptions to Mrs. Devries for BONUS MARKS. Below is a template. This assignment can be handed in digitally through Facebook or you can hand write it and hand in in personally. Template Example:

Other important things:

If you haven't already you can join the JIBS Co. Facebook group by CLICKING HERE. The goal of this page is to log on and report what you did during class on there almost every night. It can also be used to let the class know if you won't be there or if you will be late, etc. Facebook page = communication with class. 

At the top of this blog I have als0 included a facebook comment section. You can post any questions, comments, etc there if you would like. Lastly, I have created a page (here) where you can request hardware parts. If we are missing any basic hardware (or some software) in the classroom just post on the page and Nathan will be in charge of trying to get the materials you need.
